Working on.........

Well, now that the St Vincent's exhib has finished I am now about to start work on my next Solo show, this will be held next August at Wyreena Gallery in Croydon.

This is a beautiful little gallery in a Tudor style building surrounded by lovely gardens and the conservatory cafe.
It seems a long way off at the moment but painting takes time and I'm also in between illustrations as well, so the more time the better! On with the painting...........

I have been working on my own book for a few years now on and off, in my 'spare' time.
I am hoping one day to publish it but it is difficult to get your own book out there!

'Greens' Art & Auction dinner

I am very chuffed to be asked to donate an artwork to the Australian Greens (victoria), Inner South' Art & Dinner Auction, this is to help raise funds for the election of the candidates in some inner south seats, these candidates will be the first in Australia to submit a new policy giving animals rights, which is my main reason for saying yes, some of the other names that have donated are - Leigh Hutfield, Claire Layman, Carol Batchelor,Rona Green, Shaun Tan, Jennie Rosenbaum, Marte Newcombe, Angony and Matt Irwin. Those in attendance will be art buyers, candidates and others so I'm quite pleased to have my work amongst this wonderful group of artists on show and auctioned, cross fingers!
Above is the original painting I have donated, it's acrylic and collage on canvas, I hope it may bring in some bucks for them!
